Assembly and Test Data Server

Capabilities

Parameter Management

The advanced parameter management cap-abilities exceed the requirements of most applications.

·         Different product and process types can have independent sets of parameters.

·         Different product models can have distinct parameter values.

·         Default parameters for a product type reduce maintenance effort.  These are used in the absence of model specific parameters and allow you to maintain only one parameter value instead of one for each model.

·         User-based security protects against unauthorized parameter modifications.

·         Parameter revisions are audit trailed and automatically archived.

Data Acquisition

You can collect process variables, production statistics and test results from any station that supports industry standards such as OPC, ADO and ODBC.  Interfaces can be developed to collect data from any station that provides for programmatic access to the data.

Reporting

Predefined reports and charts meet routine needs while saving you time over an ad-hoc report.  Many of the predefined reports and charts feature:

·         Drill down - You can click on a report summary item to view details.

·         Live, Real-time Statistics and Update - Display a report or chart in your browser and have it update automatically.

·         One-click Export - A report displayed in your web browser can be exported directly to Microsoft Excel with a single click.

·         Save/Recall Report Selections - Report selections and preferences are retained between sessions as part of your user profile.  The next time you go to a report, it will have the last selections that you made.

Additional reporting capabilities include:

·         Scheduled Reports - Reports can be automatically generated and delivered to your desktop to save you time.

·         Custom Reports – Custom reports can be developed and integrated with the Server.  Data can also be accessed through industry standard SQL, Microsoft Access and Excel.

·         Process Correlation - Reports can track a production unit across multiple processes through assembly and test.  You can correlate between process variables, giving you data to improve your process upstream.

·         Cross Process/Product Summary - You can summarize all processes and products on a single report.  No need to compile the data manually from separate reports.

Automatic SPC Monitoring

The Server can automatically monitor process variables and test results to be in-control and process capability to be within limits.  You can receive notifications when your process is out-of-control.

Production Repair

Repairs made to production parts can be tracked by the Sever.  It determines the most effective repair based on test results and repair history.  This enables you to make the most effective use of repair resources.

Machine Monitoring

The Server can monitor faults and downtime of assembly and test stations.  It can also record repairs made to the stations.  This provides you with the data you need to prioritize and handle the problems that cost you productivity.

Automated Installation

Install the Server just like any other Windows program.  Insert the CD-ROM and click on “Install”.  Recovery from a hardware failure is simplified.

Automatic Archiving

As data is collected from the assembly and test stations, it is automatically archived to CD-RW.  The only operator intervention required is to replace the CD-RW when it has been filled.  Since the data can always be restored to the database from CD-RW, it can be deleted from the database at any time to control database size.

Reliability and Availability

A great degree of reliability and availability is attained with the recommended system configuration of removable mirrored disks and a backup server.  The need for backups is greatly reduced if not virtually eliminated.

Scalability

Application components can be distributed over multiple servers as necessary to meet performance requirements.  As your needs grow, you can add servers to increase performance.
